Mission: Let’s say some homeowners desire an addition – but they also had a curious (and conscientious) concern: They’d fallen in love with the idea of recycled timbers and longed to incorporate the timbers in their design. Could this concept work in an elegant, yet economical, way?
Solution: The proof is in the pictures. Recycled timbers frame the Family Room, as the tall windows (and their transoms) infuse the scene with sunlight.
An adjoining Study also made use of recycled materials. The flooring, wood ceiling and barn board siding are of recycled lumber.
